Online coding clubs for kids, aged 6 to 16

Transform your child into a confident coder and creator. More than learning to code: children build their own games and grow creativity, confidence and problem-solving, with award-winning STEM certified mentors.

Two ways to do it
Same coding, same mentors. The difference is whether your child works alongside someone each week, or gets on with it in their own time.

Game Dev Academy
Work through it in their own time
Best if your child:
- Prefers to just get on with it
- Has a week that never looks the same twice
- Isn't sure yet whether coding will stick
What makes it different:
- Code whenever suits you, no fixed session time
- Mentor support by text and video message
- Their game can feature in the weekly roundup

Game Dev Club
A live session every week
Best if your child:
- Does better with someone alongside them
- Gets stuck and gives up when working on their own
- Likes a set time each week to look forward to
What makes it different:
- A live session every week, same day, same time
- Small groups, never more than 6 children
- The same person every week, who remembers what your child made last time
- A free taster before you pay anything
One hour a week
Same day, same time. Afternoon and evening slots, and you pick the one that fits around everything else.
A laptop or PC
And an internet connection. That is genuinely it: no kit to buy and nothing to set up beforehand.
Ages 6 to 16
Grouped by age and stage, so your child is with children at a similar point. Never more than six in a group.
Everything above is online, wherever you are
Most of our members never come to a building: the clubs run online, all over the UK and beyond. But if you happen to live in one of these towns, you can do it face to face instead, with VR, robotics and AI alongside the coding. Same mentors, same approach.
Cambridge · Ely · Bury St Edmunds · Saffron Walden · Bishop's Stortford · Hertford · Harlow · Loughton · Waltham Abbey
See the in-person clubsYou get all of this either way
Whichever you pick, children progress from Scratch through to Python and TypeScript.

They level up
They move up levels as they go, and get a STEM-certified certificate each time: Hacker, then Modder, then Architect.

Minecraft Mod Worlds
Their own Minecraft worlds to mod with real code, built by us and included at no extra cost.

A new game every week
A fresh game to build and hack each week, so there is always something they have not made yet.
Game Jams
Every season the whole club builds to one theme, then everyone plays what everyone else made.
- Miss a week? You don’t lose it. Nothing to catch up, and they pick up where they left off.
- Switch anytime. Start on Academy and move up, or drop back for a term.
- Camera on or off. They can type in the chat instead of speaking, and just listen if that is what they need.
- Cancel anytime. No minimum term, and no card needed to book a taster.
