Meet our coding mentors
Every mentor is an employee of The Code Zone, DBS-checked and STEM-certified, and trained to adapt to how a child learns rather than expecting the child to adapt.
In a live club that means the same mentor, at the same hour, with the same group of no more than six children - so your child is not starting again with strangers each week.

What every mentor here has in common
- Enhanced DBS-checked and STEM-certified. Every one of them, and we have a designated safeguarding lead.
- Trained in supporting neurodivergent children. More than a third of our members are autistic or have ADHD, based on what parents tell us when they join.
- Never more than six children. A deliberate cap rather than a target, and what makes it possible to notice when one child has gone quiet.
- A note written on every child. That is how we know when somebody is ready to move up a level, or would rather stay where they are.

Supporting every learner it's kind of our thing
We hold the National Autistic Society’s Autism Inclusion Award, and a large share of our members are neurodivergent. Our mentors are trained to create an inclusive, patient environment where children with ADHD, autism, anxiety, or diverse learning needs truly thrive.
