Tom - Game Dev Club Mentor

Tom is a Game Dev Mentor + Dr Pepper enjoyer with a passion for music and video games (especially in combination!). When he’s not doing coding or video game stuff you can also usually find him playing guitar, writing music, and tabbing out his favourite songs

The first game I ever played, being part of some of my earliest memories, was Pokémon Sapphire on my old GBA SP, and I instantly fell in love with it and the medium as a whole. I had to replace that copy with Pokémon Emerald not long after due to losing Sapphire but I’ve been playing it and many more games non-stop ever since.

My first experience with coding was actually also in Scratch when I was young and I then went on to do loads of it whilst studying at university! I ended up taking a step away from such things after graduating but then, down the line, after completing a software dev course, I found myself working at The Code Zone, and here I am!

In my free time, I’ll usually be either playing video games, listening to music, or playing guitar or bass, but I also love trying all sorts of new things!
