Building Confidence With Code

Imagine for a second, you’re sat in a class of 20-30 people, and the teacher has just called on you to read a text in a language you’ve never seen before. Would you have the confidence to either speak up and say you couldn’t? Or to try your best anyway?

While we here at The Code Zone can't teach you Ancient Latin so you can ace that class, we can help you build confidence through the power of coding! Obviously the main thing that our members are going to get more confident in is their ability to read and write code, but this also trickles down through almost every aspect of their life too!

Boosting Reading and Writing Skills

A big part of coding is reading and writing, so we take the time in our clubs to make everything nice and easy to understand in the lower levels to build confidence as we work up to the harder written prose of pseudocode! 

Developing Social Skills in a Welcoming Environment

We also build confidence with social skills, as our online live clubs are small in numbers, you never have to worry about lots of people hearing or seeing any mistakes, just a small group of supportive members with a helpful STEM certified mentor to guide you in a judgement free zone! 

Overall our sessions fill the members that take part in them with a myriad of transferable skills that they can use to be more confident in their day to day life!
