Game Jam 2022 - It's Dangerous To Go Alone, Take This" Day 1
Welcome to our third and final summer Game Jam!

While we're excitedly awaiting the final products of all your coders from this week's theme of 'It's dangerous to go alone, take this!' It's the perfect opportunity to take a peek at some of the progress we've been seeing from the Game Dev Clubs.

Leo crafted an excellent drift/momentum system in his modded version of this week's game storm survival and Yug showed how far he has come in terms of understanding the underlying logic by independently coding a victory screen for players!

Over in the Modders  Jaikrish and William completed some absulutely excellent work ranging from grasping some more of the fundamentals to crafting hacks ranging from fireballs to collectible coins to JETPACKS!

Amazing work all!

This week we're hacking Storm Survival, a game about a little bug caught in stormy weather.

Adrian completely changed the look and feel of his game by creating custom art for all of his sprites and sounds. He also hacked the rain to change how hard it comes down!

Henry created quite possibly the world's first invincible insect! No longer bugged (pun intended) by rain or lighting, his player sprite is free to soak up all of the points!

James changed the way Storm Survival plays by taking inspiration for mechanics from Crossy Road. Think Frogger but in the sky! Also...it's raining bullets!

Aaron gave his player sprite vertical movement (as all good flying insects should have!) and began working on a new button clicker game. Very impressive for his first session with Game Dev Club!

What a great start to the week 🙂
