HALLOWEEN HALF TERM CODING CAMP

Looking for Halloween half term activities that you can join from anywhere? Halloween Coding Camp, for ages 6 to 16, is the ultimate way to have fun while developing new coding skills with a spooky twist!

Every day, you'll get access to a new game to play and it'll be up to you to hack it. From haunted houses to monster mayhem, every day is a new opportunity for you to get creative and build lifelong coding and problem-solving skills.

When you join Halloween Coding Camp, you'll be joining a welcoming community and you'll be supported by expert coding mentors through video messages and our text chat. Whether you already know your way around Scratch, or you're a complete beginner, we'll be here to help!

💰 Pricing: £25 for new members, £20 for existing members of The Code Zone

Includes all 5 days of spooky activities, daily videos and extensive mentor support.

New Game Every Day

Every day you'll work on a new game, and our mentors will send you videos in the morning showing you how to play the game and walking you through the hacks that you can build. On the final day, you'll take part in a Halloween Game Jam where you'll be able to build your own spooky game!

Your mentors will be around all day to give you a helping hand when you need it. Plus, every afternoon your mentors will send you a video showing off the cool spooky games that members of Halloween Coding Camp have made that day!

My son recently had a taster session with the code zone. They were very helpful and their communication before and after the session was fantastic. We are looking for a local coding class which is face to face, which The Code Zone don’t offer at the moment, but fingers crossed this is something they can accommodate in future!

My 10 year old son loves The Code Zone! He loves ‘the way you can be yourself around the instructors and you can ask for help at any time, and the instructors are always interested in what you’re doing’. I highly recommend it.

My son loves attending his weekly coding club. There is a variety of activities for him to immerse in and he often has projects on the go that he works on each week. The teachers are so welcoming and kind. Can't recommend coding club enough.

The Code Zone is an outstanding and well managed club. My daughter has been going for a couple of years now and absolutely loves it. They maintain their interest by constantly challenging them with new games and programmes and the staff are friendly and approachable. They also keep parents informed and remind them when new terms are starting along with holiday activities. Definitely deserve their 5 🌟 .

My 10 yr old daughter has recently changed groups as she is quite shy and timid and her previous group were quite outgoing. The team were brilliant, very supportive and worked to find her the right group. She is now in a quieter group where the other children work together to support each other and she said the group leader is great! A happy mummy! 🥰

I have 2 children who attend The Code Zone online classes. Both of my children are neurodiverse. Firstly, their customer services is great. They are very patient and signing up was easy. There were no sales calls which was great because a lot of the other companies that sell coding classes seem to bombard you with calls. The teachers are amazing and very patient. My son (7 years) actually plays the games that they learn to code. Lauren especially has been AMAZING with my son. My daughter is 13 and I was nervous as to whether she would enjoy it or not. She LOVES the classes and has learned so much. I was really apprehensive about whether my children’s needs could be met but Code Zone has exceeded by expectations. The price is very reasonable, the teaching is good and I would highly recommend The Code Zone.

We're here to help!
Each morning, your mentors will send you a video introducing a new spooky game - from haunted houses to monster mayhem! You'll learn how to play it, then
hack and customize it to make it your own. Throughout the day, mentors are available via text chat and video messages to help. Each afternoon, you'll get to see a showcase
video of the amazing games other campers have created that day. On the final day (Halloween!), you'll participate in a special Game Jam where you build your own spooky game
from scratch!
Absolutely! The camp is designed for ages 6-16 with no coding experience required. We start with beginner-friendly Scratch (visual drag-and-drop coding) so
even complete beginners can jump right in and start creating spooky games. Our mentors are experts at teaching beginners and provide extensive support throughout.
This is a flexible, self-paced camp! Morning videos are sent out early (around 10am), and you can work on your games whenever suits your family's schedule.
Mentors are available throughout the day to provide support. Most families spend 2-4 hours per day on activities, but you can do more or less depending on your child's
interest and availability.
You'll need a computer or laptop (Windows, Mac, or Chromebook) with a reliable internet connection. All coding is done through a web browser - no special
software to install! Your child will receive login details and access to all games and activities when they join.
No problem! All videos, games, and activities remain available throughout the camp. Your child can catch up at their own pace, and mentors will
still be there to help. Since it's self-paced, you can work ahead or catch up as needed.
Yes! Each child needs their own account (so they can save their own games and progress), but siblings can work together and share ideas. If you're enrolling
multiple children, just register each one separately. They're both part of the same welcoming community!
Our STEM-Certified mentors provide support through video messages and text chat throughout each day. If your child gets stuck or has questions, they can
message their mentor who will respond with helpful hints, video explanations, or step-by-step guidance. It's like having a patient coding tutor available whenever you need
them!
The camp costs £25 for new members (those who haven't been part of The Code Zone before) and £20 for existing members (current or past members of Game Dev
Club or Game Dev Academy). Both prices include all 5 days of activities, daily videos, and full mentor support.
